Bahareh Hosseini is an award winning film-maker and photographer passionate about the power of films for social change.

Born in Tehran, Bahareh worked as an actress in the acclaimed Iranian film industry, before moving behind the camera. Based in London since 2003, she has shot and directed projects in Afghanistan, Pakistan and across Africa, as well as working for broadcasters in Britain.

She has made films for the likes of BBC and Oscar-winning director Ross Kauffman, Camfed, See Change Films as well as many corporate clients. 

Her photographs have been published worldwide in publications such as Huffington Post, The BBC, Vice, Dazed And Confused, Okay Africa, Africa Is A Country and on the front cover of the Louisiana Museum Of Arts magazine.

She is currently working on a number of documentary projects and she is the associate film trainer and director of photography at See Change Films.
